In taking part in any rehearsal, performance, workshop or event it is agreed that any use of resources, techniques and ideas will not be used, amended, copied or replicated at any other event, or to any group or in any venue. If found to be used, legal action will ensue against the individual.
Do Your Thing™ reserves the right to stop admission of any member who does not fulfil the requirements or who is deemed to be joining Do Your Thing™ to abuse their membership to access the intellectual property or brand owned by Do Your Thing™.
Members wishing to participate in public performances will generally be required to have completed a full term’s membership prior to the performance. This requirement may be varied at the discretion of the Musical Director, who reserves the right to determine whether a member is ‘performance-ready’ to represent Do Your Thing™.
Members wishing to participate in public performances will be required to purchase an official DYT t-shirt and potentially, for outdoor performances, a hoodie.
Do Your Thing™ rehearsals run in term time. Do Your Thing™ reserves the right to alter the schedule of rehearsals to fit in with performances and other events that may be taking place. No refunds will be given in these circumstances. If a rehearsal is cancelled due to circumstances beyond Do Your Thing™’s control then Do Your Thing™ will make best endeavours to provide an alternative, either in the form of a virtual (online) rehearsal or by scheduling an alternative rehearsal within the membership year. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.
Do Your Thing™ may from time to time provide additional facilities such as downloads, special rehearsals, workshops and shows. These are not part of the basic membership facilities and are provided solely at the discretion of Do Your Thing™.
Those who do not have internet facilities may not be able to access some of these additional provisions.
Membership fees may vary each academic year and members will be notified of any change beforehand.
Refunds are at the sole discretion of Do Your Thing™ depending on the circumstances.
In making an application, members are assumed to be medically fit to undertake the vocal and physical demands of Do Your Thing™. If an individual has any doubts, these should be indicated to Do Your Thing™ prior to their application or agreement to these terms. Members are encouraged to advise Do Your Thing™ (in confidence) of any known medical conditions which may potentially require immediate first aid or attendance/intervention by trained medical personnel.
Any member who does not attend for one half term or six consecutive rehearsals (unless there are extenuating circumstances that either the director, a section leader, or a member of the Do Your Thing™ admin team have been informed about) will forgo their membership with Do Your Thing™. It will be not be possible to hold members’ places open indefinitely unless there are special reasons or circumstances, in which case every effort will be made to accommodate the Do Your Thing™ member.
The director reserves the right to refuse the admission of any member.
By joining, it is agreed that photographs and film footage may be taken of all the members and used for advertising and marketing purposes in relation to Do Your Thing™.
Members will be required to pay a monthly subscription of £30 (or £45 if qualifying for the family discount) payable by direct debit over 12 months on the 1st of each month.
Family discount: Two family members from a single household.
When initially signing up to membership, any scheduled sessions before the first direct debit payment date (1st of the month) will need to be paid for via a single electronic (BACS) payment. The pro-rata weekly amount used for this calculation will be advised and fully explained, and relevant bank details will be provided at the time.
Monthly subscription payments continue during term breaks as they are intended to provide a simple method of paying an annual fee by instalments, they do not reflect “per session” fees.
The monthly subscription will cover all regular weekly Do Your Thing™ rehearsals plus any extra rehearsals which may be called in the event of special performances.
Members may attend rehearsals at either or both venues.
The subscription will not cover special events and workshops which may also be available from time to time and for which an additional fee may be charged.
In the event a member wishes to cancel their subscription and discontinue their membership, a minimum of one month’s notice will be required. No refunds will be given in the event the member chooses not to attend rehearsals during the notice period.
Do Your Thing™ is not responsible for damage to person or personal belongings whilst attending rehearsals and performances or before and after rehearsals and performances.
Do Your Thing™ members are responsible for their own vehicles, property and well-being whilst attending all rehearsals and performances.
Travel arrangements to rehearsals and performances are to be made by individual members unless it is agreed otherwise.
Members should adhere to any government guidelines in force in relation to COVID-19 and in addition should bear in mind Do Your Thing™’s specific in-house COVID-19 guidelines which are available on the Do Your Thing™ website.

Personal and private information held by Do Your Thing™ will not be passed to external bodies or organisations unless agreed to by each member.
