DYT bring Christmas magic to Manchester Cathedral in fundraising concert

Do Your Thing were invited as special guests to perform at “Westend by Candlelight” at Manchester Cathedral on 17th December.

Anthony Clegg, the organiser of the concert, and Liz Taylor, DYT’s MD, performed together over 10 years ago in award-winning UCLAN Chamber Choir. Their love of singing and in particular choral singing lead them both to start up and direct the Do Your Thing choirs and for Ant, five northwest branches of “Sing Space” – a musical theatre choir.

Whilst the evening focused mainly on songs from the shows, DYT’s set brought some Christmas sparkle with the stand out song being the beautiful “Mary, did you know?” featuring the male members of the choir.

The concert, in aid of “Andy’s Man Club” a men’s suicide prevention charity helped raise over four thousand pounds.

“It was a really special concert and we were delighted to be invited to sing at the stunning Manchester Cathedral whilst helping raise money for this very important cause” Liz explains.
